NOMADIC SPIRIT

…As tiring as these journeys are, my daily ritual has been my practice of letting go of what kills me and letting grow of what transforms me.

I am living on a temporary body which has limitations. I was born into this world a world citizen, landless country-less, fatherless, money less - a nomadic Spirit Warrior of the past, present and future.

I am living on a temporary place, brown roots violated by white dominance, oppression, complex systemic sins. Why do I care for it so much? Resistance, resilience, pure nurturing love and connection- because this is a non-permanent uncomfortable magical space.

I am living on a temporary status, never the same, always in movement. As tiring as these journeys are, my daily ritual has been my practice of letting go of what kills me and letting grow of what transforms me. Static, I am not, even if the empire says so. Pay me for the emotional labor that requires the story-telling. I am tired of being defined by my country of origin.

I am living on a temporary apartment with coffee, chocolate and love I've made with help from strong spirits, accepting visits from my mother's soul, crying out painful realities of persecutions, bloodshed.

I am living on a temporary job and enslaved by capitalism, student loans unpaid. No time for idealism, though money isn't what matters most - community, solidarity. Let's reclaim space, be brave to speak up. I am living on a temporary mindset constantly changing, hopeful ideas emerging, at the same time that self-doubt threatens to break me to pieces.

"Bruja Sanadora soy!"

I am living on a temporary life, socialized to perform in ways that felt always wrong, longing to belong, flying with imagination to other possible worlds in which my nomadic spirit can coexist with us all.
